The process of getting copyrights for your work done is not a difficult task. There are copyright lawyers and law firms which guide their clients to what should be done to get copyrights.
However, in some countries, there is no need to get copyrights or to register for it as it is an automatic process there. i.e. as soon as you publish your work, it gets copyrights if it meets the minimal requirements for copyright protection and if anyone try to infringe it without the prior knowledge of the author, then he will be questioned in the court.
Expression like text, photographs, music, computer programs, software, films, etc. automatically get protected by copyright under the Copyright Act.
